Pr Louis XV Parcel-Gilt Fauteuil Armchairs - Pair of Louis XV polychrome and parcel-gilt fauteuils or armchairs, 18th-19th century. Each featuring a shield-shaped back, pink and light blue upholstery with floral motifs, and cabriole legs terminating in scroll feet. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. For a similar lot, see: Christie's, London, ”The Collector: Online, ” 29 April - 20 May, 2020, Lot 47. (Each) Height: 33 3/4 in x width: 23 1/2 in x depth: 20 1/2 in. Condition: The chairs are structurally sound and stable. To one of the chairs, there are small tears and loose threads along the right armrest. To the other chair, there are small tears and loose threads along each of the armrests. A few loose threads along the upholstered backrest and seat. To each of the chairs, there is light wear to the upholstery. There are scattered losses to the finish, primarily along high points. Wear to the legs and feet, including small scuffs and scratches.
