Pr Louis XVI Upholstered Dining Chaise Chairs - Pair of French Louis XVI upholstered dining chairs or chaises, 19th century. Each with a carved rectangular back and coral upholstered seat atop tapered legs. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 35 3/4 in x width: 20 in x depth: 17 in. Condition: The chairs are structurally sound and stable. To one of the chairs, there is an area of flaking to the pigment along the upper portion of the back, right leg. There is some separation to the joints. A few splits forming in the wood, primarily along the legs. There are fleabite to small-sized chips along the wooden frame, particularly along the extreme edges and high points. Wear to the feet and legs, including scuffs and scratches. Along the seats, there are tears and losses to the upholstery; some loose threads along the seats and backrests.
