2 French Louis XIII William & Mary Walnut Chairs - Group of two French Louis XIII or William and Mary style carved walnut chairs, 18th-19th century. Including one bergere armchair and one dining chair. Each with cream paisley pattern upholstery with high backs, intricately pierced stretcher, and carved legs terminating in Spanish scroll feet. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Armchair) Height: 48 in x width: 23 in x depth: 23 in. (Dining chair) Height: 45 3/4 in x width: 19 1/4 in x depth: 20 1/4 in. Condition: Each of the chairs is structurally sound and stable. There are no tears to the upholstery. To the armchair, there are scattered, round stains, varying in size, to the upholstery, primarily along the seat. To each of the chairs, there are small areas of orange discoloration along the lower, hemmed corners of the upholstery. There are no breaks or cracks to the wooden frames. To the dining chair, there is slight separation to the wooden joints. Wear to the feet, including scratches, scuffs, and small chips.
