French Louis XV Upholstered Fauteuil Armchair - French Louis XV wooden fauteuil or armchair, 19th century. Featuring a shaped top rail, open arms, and striped upholstery decorated with foliate motifs. Atop cabriole legs. Height: 35 in x width: 25 in x depth: 21 in. Condition: The chair is structurally sound and stable. There is a repaired break along one of the front legs. Some separation to the joints; glue adhesive is visible along some of the joints. Small, scattered chips along the extreme edges. Light scuffs and scratches throughout, particularly along the legs and feet. Scattered boreholes. Some wear to the upholstery, including evidence of moisture exposure, light soiling, small tears, specifically along the arms.
