20th c. Biedermeier Carved Mahogany Side Chair - Biedermeier carved mahogany side chair, 20th century. Featuring a carved fan-shape along the central back splat flanked by pierced C-scrolls along either side. Cushion with green leather upholstery and nailhead trim along the seat base. Standing on four square-shaped tapering legs. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 35 1/4 in x width: 18 1/2 in x depth: 18 in. Condition: The chair is structurally sound and stable. Wear to the leather upholstered seat including small tears and minute losses. There is a large tear and small losses to the sewn cover along the underside of the seat. A few fleabite to small sized chips to the wooden frameq, primarily along high points. Light scuffs and scratches throughout. Wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age and use, including small chips, scuffs, and scratches.
