Pr Chippendale Style Carved Mahogany Armchairs - Pair of Chippendale style carved mahogany armchairs, 20th century. Each with a curved top rail, pierced back splat, and scrolled terminals along the arms. Cushions upholstered with light blue floral damask patterned fabric. Standing on four chamfered square legs joined by H-shaped stretchers. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 35 3/4 in x width: 24 in x depth: 20 in. Condition: The chairs are structurally sound; one chair wobbles slightly. There are scattered small chips along the high points and extreme edges of the legs. Small scattered splits forming in the wood, particularly along the pierced back splats. Separation to the joints. Wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age and use, including small chips, scuffs, and scratches. There are no tears or losses to the upholstery.
