19th c. Carved Gilt Wood Overmantel Mirror - Carved giltwood overmantle mirror of rectangular form with carved acanthus leaf motifs, 19th century. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 48 3/4 in x width: 32 1/2 in x depth: 3 1/2 in. Condition: To the mirror there are no visible breaks, cracks, chips, or losses. There are small scattered areas of desilvering to the mirror. To the wood frame there are scattered small to moderate chips and losses throughout, primarily along highpoints. To the frame there is some separation to the joints. Wear to the gilt including losses throughout. To the verso there are tears to the paper backing and soiling. Light dust gathered along recessed areas.
