William & Mary Baroque Oyster Veneer Table Cabinet - William and Mary or Baroque wooden oyster veneered table cabinet or miniature chest of drawers, 17th-18th century. With two cupboard doors revealing a series of seven drawers atop a plain apron and bun feet. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 11 in x width: 13 in x depth: 8 1/2 in. Condition: The cabinet is structurally sound; however, the object wobbles slightly. Slight warping to the wood, leading the central drawer, upper-center right drawer, and the doors to move with slight resistance. Separaration to the joints throughout. There are several areas where splits and cracks are beginning to form, primarily along the doors. There are areas of flaking and some losses, ranging from small to large in size, throughout; the largest loss, measuring approximately 2 inches in length, along the upper right corner. Wear to the feet.
