Louis XVI Mahogany & Marble Gueridon Table - Louis XVI mahogany guerdion, or pedestal side table, 19th century. Featuring a rounded marble table top surface, a reticulated brass gallery garland, a frieze adorned with gilt metal foliate mounts, and reeded legs terminating in outswept feet. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 31 1/2 in x diameter: 15 1/2 in. Condition: The table is structurally sound and stable. There is light separation to the joints. There are several cracks along the circular rounded top, including a large crack that extends throughout the diameter of the table top. There are signs of restoration to the marble top. There are light scuffs and scratches to the wood, particularly along the legs. Small chips along the feet. There are scattered losses to the metal hardware along the legs. There is tarnishing to the metal.
