Pr Early 20th c. Biedermeier Style Gueridons - Barnard & Simonds Company, Rochester, New York. Pair of early 20th century Biedermeier style ebonized oak tripod gueridons. Each with an inset circular top above a simplistic apron highlighting the rich natural wood grain. Standing on three cabriole legs joined by a triangular medial shelf. Each with a Barnard & Simonds Co. label adhered along the underside listing model no. ”1755 Stand” and ”Hampton” finish. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 30 in x diameter: 14 3/4 in. Condition: The tables are structurally sound and stable. To each, there are losses along the rims. To one, there are square and rounded areas of soiling along the surface. To the same table, there is a repaired break and two partial breaks along the rim. There are two repaired breaks along the lower rim of the table's suface. To the other table, there is a partial break along the rim. To each, there is separation to the joints. There are scuffs along the surface. There is flaking to the wood along the surfaces. There are fleabite to small-sized chips, primarily along the rims, where the joints meet, and along the upper portions of the legs. Wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age and use, including scuffs and light scratches.
