Louis XV Style Occasional Walnut Marquetry Table - Louis XV style gueridon occasional walnut marquetry table, circa 19th or 20th century. The table's surface is of oval form with quatrefoil and rosette marquetry designs along the apron. A hidden drawer is built into the apron and reveals itself when pressure is applied to the corresponding section. Standing on four slender cabriole legs terminating in gilt-metal sabots. Provenance: Felix Gluckselig Antiques, New York, 1965; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 28 1/4 in x width: 19 3/4 in x depth: 15 in. Condition: The table is structurally sound and stable. The drawer opens and closes with ease. There is a chip along the rim. There is a possible crack or area of separation to the joints along the back, central part of the rim. There is a small chip along the back of the table, noticeable upon close inspection. There are light scratches to the inlay. There are signs of glue repair and areas of toned adhesive residue along the edges of the drawer, the upper edges of the legs, and the rim. Some tarnishing and losses to the gilt along the metal feet. Wear commensurate with age and use to the legs and feet, including light scuffs.
