Art Deco Mirrored Top Giltwood Center Table - Art Deco giltwood center or dining table of ovoid form, early 20th century. Featuring an elegant mirrored table top and reeded, tapered legs. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 30 in x width: 84 in x depth: 42 3/4 in. Condition: The table is structurally sound; however, it wobbles. There are no breaks to the frame. Wear to the gilt, including small scattered losses throughout, particularly along the rim, high points, and along the legs, and feet. There are light scratches and small chips throughout, primarily along high points. Wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age and use, including light scuffs and scratches. To the mirror, there are no cracks. There are fleabite to small-sized chips along the extreme edges. There are large areas desilvering, primarily along the perimeter of the mirrored table top. To one corner of the mirror, there is a deep curved scratch along the verso; the scratch has removed the mirrored element and it is possible to see through the table top along this area.
