Pr Neoclassical Style Campagna Urns & Plinths - Pair of painted Neoclassical-style lidded campana urns resting atop terracotta pedestals, 20th century. The campania urns decorated with intricately carved foliate and scrollwork motifs. The pedestals with delicately sculpted floral wreaths, large rosettes, and stepped square bases. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Urns, each) Height: 34 1/2 in x diameter: 29 in. (Plinths, each) Height: 55 1/2 in x width: 29 1/4 in x depth: 27 1/4 in. Condition: The urns and plinths are structurally sound; however, one of the urns and one of the plinths wobble; the plinth wobbles slightly. To each of the pieces, there are scattered small to large chips and losses throughout, primarily along the extreme edges, including a large loss along the rim of one urn. To the urns, there is heavy wear to the pigment, including losses, and scattered areas of oxidation. To each of the plinths, there are cracks, particularly along the lower portion and base of the plinth. There are scattered accretions. Along the upper surface of each plinth, there is a square area of uneven toning. To each of the pieces, there is dust gathered along recessed areas.
