George III Chippendale Carved Mahogany Torchere - George III or Chippendale carved mahogany torchere plant stand, 19th century. An octagonal top with acanthus-carved frieze atop a reeded, tapered stem with scrolling, downswept legs terminating in rectangular feet. Height: 44 in x width: 19 in x depth: 19 in. Condition: To two of the legs, there are repaired breaks.There are repaired breaks along five of the foliate elements along the rim of the table top. The table top is secured to the post, however, it wobbles. A few fleabite to small-sized chips, particularly along the extreme edges of the foliate elements along the rim. Scattered light scuffs and scratches, particularly along the legs and the table top.
