Italian ”Table of Muses” Ceramic & Bronze Table - Italian painted ceramic breakfast table with a tripod patinated bronze pedestal base in the form of koi fish, 20th century. The rounded table top with hand-painted Neoclassical scenes depicting ”The Table of the Muses, ” an 18th-century inlaid pietra dura table top on display in the Castagnoli Room of the Pitti Palace in Florence, Italy. Provenance: Nakashian - O'Neil Inc., St. Paul, MN, September 4, 1987; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 31 in x diameter: 51 in. Condition: The table is structurally sound and stable. To the painted table top, there are no cracks, breaks, or losses. To the base, there is verdigris patination throughout. Scattered areas of tarnishing to the metal. There are no breaks, bends, or losses. There are a few small chips along the high points, noticeable upon close inspection. Light scratches and accretions throughout. Dust gathered along recessed areas.
