Lrg Chinese Wooden Bodhisattva Guanyin Sculpture - Large Chinese carved wooden sculpture depicting a Bodhisattva Guanyin with a child beside her feet, Qing Dynasty. Decorated with gilt and polychrome pigment. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 71 in x width: 17 in x depth: 12 in. Condition: Wear throughout commensurate of age and material. There are scattered losses and signs of wear to the pigment throughout, especially along the contours of the draped fabric, the left hand, the face, and the base. There is a large horizontal crack and loss along the base. There is evidence of past repair and a segment of wood within the crack. Wear to the base.
