Chinese Marble Bodhisattva Buddha Stele Sculpture - Chinese carved marble votive stele sculpture depicting a buddha or bodhisattva figure in front of an oval mandorla featuring attendants, 20th century. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 32 in x width: 20 in x depth: 7 1/2 in. Condition: Wear commensurate with age and material. Due to the nature of the stone, it is difficult to ascertain whether it has been chipped or compromised. However, there are losses to the woman's right earring, the rattle in her right hand, the strand of beads within the grasp of her left hand, and to the lowest point of the cloth draped along the left side of her face.
