Ancient Roman Glass Ewer Jug - Ancient Roman glass ewer bottle or pitcher jug, ca. 4th-5th century CE. Featuring a teal or green glass thread along the lip and neck. With a high-arching strap handle extending from the shoulder to the flared rim. With a custom metal stand. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 5 1/4 in x diameter: 3 1/2 in. Condition: Extensive repairs throughout, especially to the neck of the glass, the side, the upper rim, and the handle. Loss to the center of the bulbous body. Flaking of the irridescent layer (this layer comes off to the touch).
