Miniature Portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte - Miniature portrait painting of Napoleon Bonapart, ca. 1830. Featuring a gilt bronze frame with an ornate bow crest along the upper edge. Signed ”Lesret” along the lower right; possibly by Adolphe Alexandre Lesrel (French, 1839-1929). Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Sight; diameter: 3 1/4 in. Framed; height: 4 3/4 in x width: 4 in x depth: 1/4 in. Condition: No signs of restoration under UV light. It is possible that the portrait has been trimmed along the extreme edges based on what is visible. Verso not inspected; not inspected out of frame. Light wear to the frame.
