Pr 19th c. Gilt Bronze 3-Light Candelabra as Lamps - Pair of gilt bronze three-light candelabra mounted as lamps, ca. 19th century. Each central figural stem with three issuing scrolling arms on octagonal bases. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Height: 33 1/4 in x width: 6 in x depth: 7 in. Condition: There are small scratches along the skirts of each boy. To the lamp depicting a boy with a raised left arm, two of the candleabra branches are slightly loose and move when tension is applied; to the lamp depicting a boy with raised right arm, three of the candelabra branches are slightly loose and move when tension is applied. The central stem of the lamp depicting a boy with raised left arm is not affixed to the rest of the body and and there is evidence of past soldered repair along the upper rim. The stem of this lamp rests slightly askew. Tarnishing and patination throughout. There is verdigris patination along the rim where there is a past soldered repair. The candelabra have been wired as lamps. The wiring to each lamp has been clipped. Light dust gathered along the recessed areas.
