3 Pc Louis XVI Marble & Ormolu Garniture Set - French Louis XVI white marble and gilt bronze garniture set, 19th century. Including a mantle clock and a pair of two-light candelabra. Featuring elegant scrollwork and foliate motif mounts. The clock with a finial depicting two mourning doves seated along a floral wreath. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Clock) height: 12 in x width: 8 1/2 in x depth: 4 1/2 in. (Candelabra, each) height: 9 1/2 in x width: 6 1/4 in x depth: 3 in. Condition: To one of the candelabra the gilt bronze square around the base is loose. To the other candelabra, one of the gilt metal inset pieces along the base is loosely attached. To the clock the gilt metal front pieces along the base are loosely attached. Throughout all three pieces there are small frits or minute chips along the edges to the marble. There are no major cracks or restorations. Clock not tested. Some small areas or spots of tarnishing to the metal components. Light wear to the feet and undersides as expected.
