19th c. Sevres Style Bleu Celeste Ormolu Calendar - Style of Sevres, France. Louis XVI gilt bronze and porcelain easel desk calendar, ca. 1880. With a painted porcelain panel depicting foliate motifs accented by gilt on bleu celeste or turquoise ground, encased in a shaped rectangular frame surmounted by a putti figure holding floral garlands. Provenance: The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. Height: 8 1/2 in x width 4 1/2 x depth: 1 in. Condition: There are no major visible breaks, losses, or signs of repair to the porcelain. There is a small chip along the lower right corner. The paper elements are unevenly toned. The dials rotate well. Tarnishing to the mountings. The plaque not inspected out of frame.
