5 French Paris Nast Gilt Porcelain Dessert Plates - Manufacture de Nast, France. Set of five gilt porcelain dessert plates, 19th century. Inscribed in gilt ”Nast a Paris par brevet d'invention (Nast in Paris by patent of invention)” along the undersides. Provenance: Purchased ca. 1966 in New York; The Distinguished Collection of Leo & Doris Hodroff. (Each) Diameter: 8 3/4 in. Condition: To one of the plates, there is a repaired break along the rim. To the same plate, there are two small chips and a corresponding hairline crack. To each of the plates, there is some wear to the gilt, including small losses and light scratches along the surface. Some wear to the footrims.
