Aft. John Herring ”Pharaoh's Horses” Painting - After John Frederick Herring Sr. (English, 1795-1865). Oil on canvas painting titled ”Pharaoh's Horses, ” ca. 19th century. Depicting three dynamic equestrian forms. Unframed; height: 24 in x width: 24 in. Framed; height: 28 3/4 in x width: 28 1/4 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: There are no tears or signs of repair. There are a few minute losses to the pigment. Along the upper left quadrant, there is a scratch and minute loss; there is an additional small scratch along the lower right quadrant. Stretcher bar marks are visible along the perimeter of the painting. The canvas is slightly loose. Small scattered areas of soiling along the recto, particularly visible along the left side of the work. Areas of soiling and uneven toning to the verso. Light wear to the frame. Not inspected out of frame.
