After Raphael ”Madonna della Sedia” Oil Painting - After Raffaello ”Raphael” Sanzio (Italian, 1483-1520). Oil on canvas painting titled ”Madonna della Seggiola.” Depicting the Virgin Mary and the Christ child, Jesus. With a residual label affixed along the verso; artist attribution along the label. Unframed; height: 11 1/2 in x width: 9 3/4 in. Framed; height: 15 1/4 in x width: 13 1/2 in x depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: There are a few small losses to the pigment, visible upon close inspection. Along the faces of the woman and child, there are a few possible minute repaired tears; the canvas along these areas appears uneven, and these areas correlate with minute losses to the pigment. The canvas has been relined. There is an areas of inpainting along the forehead of the child. There is a thick varnish throughout; due to the varnish, it is difficult to discern whether there are additional areas of restorations to the work. There are small scattered areas of soiling and craquelure. Wear to the frame, including small chips and losses. Soiling along the verso. A few residual paper labels affixed along the verso. Not inspected out of frame.
