Signed ”Rolling Fields” Landscape Painting - Oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a flock of sheep amidst lush green rolling hills under a summer sky. Possibly signed ”Shoeh” or ”Hoch” along the lower left. Height: 12 in x width: 18 1/4 in x depth: 1 in. Condition: There is a horizontal tear along the left side of the work, which measures approximately 2 inches in length. There are four small areas of repair visible along the verso of the canvas; these repairs appear to correlate to four minute-to-small tears, primarily located along the lower half of the work. There are losses to the pigment along the extreme edges of the canvas. There are a few minute areas of inpainting. Wear along the extreme edges of the canvas. Soiling along the verso of the canvas. There is a toned residual label affixed along the verso of the canvas; one additional paper label affixed along the verso.
