Victor Arnautoff Portrait of Son Painting - Victor Arnautoff (Russian/American, 1896-1979). Oil on canvas laid board painting. Depicting an emergency worker wearing a helmet with a red cross insignia, similar to those worn by medical personnel during WWII. The portrait is of the artist's eldest son, Michael, who fought during WWII. Provenance: By repute, purchased from the estate of the artist's son. Height: 24 in x width: 18 in x depth: 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are bends to the board along each of the corners, particularly the upper left and right corners. A few small tears and losses along the extreme edges of the work. Light accretions, particularly along the lower half of the canvas. Wear along the extreme edges. The work is not framed.
