Erte Romain de Tirtoff ”Opera Suite” Print - Erte (Romain de Tirtoff) (French/Russian, 1892-1990). Print on paper titled ”Opera Suite, ” from the book ”Erte's Theatrical Costumes in Full Colors.” Depicting a theatrically dressed Art Deco woman in a mermaid costume. Ink signed along the lower right quadrant. There is a small square cut out to the paper backing along the verso revealing an inked signature and numbered ”3435”; stamped with ”ERTE” and ”Composition originale.” With a Certificate of Authenticity affixed along the verso; artist, title, and medium listed along the certificate. Sight; height: 10 3/4 in x width: 7 3/4 in. Framed; height: 29 in x width: 25 1/2 in x depth: 1 1/4 in. Condition: The colors are bold and bright. There are no visible tears or losses. There are two minute areas of skimming to the right of the figure. There is a small area of skimming along the upper left. There is a minute area of foxing along the upper right quadrant. Small rounded discoloration along the lower right quadrant. There are a few light creases along the left side, possibly handling marks. Floated in frame under a linen mat, which is below two acidic mats. Framed under plexiglass. Small loss to the frame along the lower left corner. Not inspected out of frame.
