General Description:
The 1/2 Pahlavi 1971 (1350) coin features Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last monarch of the Pahlavi dynasty, who ruled Iran from 1941 until the Iranian Revolution in 1979. This coin was minted in 1971, commemorating the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of the Persian Empire by Cyrus the Great.
The obverse of the coin displays a portrait of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, facing left, wearing a crown and military attire. The inscription around the portrait reads "محمد رضا شاه پهلوی" (Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi), identifying the ruler.
The reverse of the coin features the Lion and Sun emblem, a traditional symbol of Iran representing the monarchy and national pride. Above the emblem is the inscription "نیم پهلوی" (Half Pahlavi), indicating the denomination. Below the emblem, the year "1350" in the Persian calendar (1971 in the Gregorian calendar) is inscribed, along with the mintmark and decorative Persian elements.
