Palestine - Petah Tikva Token for 2 Fara or Piastre 1916 - PCGS MS 62 - The highest grade for this token. Made of tin, stamped with the letters ”P”, ”T” and the number ”2”, probably used as a substitute for money in the Petah Tikva colony and minted before World War I. A very rare token, few survived the period and only a few have been offered for sale over the years, there are 2 tokens that are graded above this grade, 55 and 62, both in private collections. Over the past decade, about 6 different tokens have been offered at auctions.
