The medal served as a token of recognition and affiliation with the Haganah, the main defense organization of the Jewish Yishuv and the foundation of the Israel Defense Forces. Obverse: The emblem of the Haganah - an upright sword intertwined with an olive branch, set within a Star of David. Around it, the Hebrew inscription ”Haganah Organization” in decorative script. Reverse: Plain, without inscription.
