Judaica / Zionism - USA, “Jewish National Fund 25th Anniversary” Medal, 1901–1926 - A rare and colorful medal issued in 1926 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Jewish National Fund (Keren Kayemet LeIsrael). The JNF was established in 1901 at the Fifth Zionist Congress in Basel, with the mission of purchasing and developing land in the Land of Israel for the Jewish people. Description: Obverse: Deep blue enamel background with three golden wheat stalks symbolizing agricultural renewal and the blossoming of the land. Around the rim: “קרן קיימת לישראל” (Jewish National Fund), below: “1901-1926 Jubilee of the Fund’s Establishment.” Reverse: Plain, with small stamped mark of a sunburst and inscription “AMERICAN ART NOVELTY CO.”, indicating manufacture in the USA.
