Judaica / Zionism - USA, ”Ahavas Sholom” Talmud Torah Medal 1928 (5688) - Bronze commemorative medal issued in 1928 (5688) to celebrate the completion of the Ahavas Sholom Talmud Torah building. Obverse: Depicts a large synagogue building with the Hebrew inscription above: “בורא עולם בקנין השלם זה הבנין” (“Creator of the world, in perfection this building is completed”), and below: “אהבת שלום דבראנקם תרפ”ח”. Reverse: Features the Tablets of the Ten Commandments beneath a Star of David, surrounded by Hebrew inscriptions: Top: “עץ חיים היא למחזיקים בה ותומכיה מאושר” (“It is a tree of life to those who hold fast to it, and those who support it are happy”), Bottom: “ותלמוד תורה כנגד כולם” (“And the study of Torah is equal to them all”).
