Judaica / Zionism - USA, Two “Good Luck” Tokens - 1950s - Two American good luck tokens from the 1950s, reflecting Jewish community life and philanthropy in mid-century America. First token: Obverse shows a Star of David with the inscription “GOOD LUCK – MINNIE TULIPAN SOCIETY INC”, featuring two overlapping profiles and Hebrew letters חי (“Chai”). Reverse bears another Star of David with the Tablets of the Law inside, surrounded by the legend “May Life’s Richest Rewards Be Yours” and “מזל - MAZEL” at the bottom. Second token: Obverse inscribed “HELP BUILD A JEWISH HOME NON-SECTARIAN FOR SENILE AGED”, indicating a charitable fundraising purpose. Reverse displays a menorah within a laurel wreath, encircled by the phrase “Guard the children of the poor – from them might come forth learning.” These tokens combine Jewish symbolism and community values, serving as both amulets of good fortune and reminders of charitable engagement.
