Its design is considered among the most beautiful in American numismatic history, created by the celebrated sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, one of the greatest coin designers in U.S. history. Obverse: Features a female figure representing Liberty, wearing a feathered Native American headdress – a striking fusion of American freedom and indigenous spirit. Above appears the inscription “LIBERTY”, with 13 stars around the rim symbolizing the original thirteen colonies. The date is shown below. Reverse: Depicts a proud standing eagle resting on a bundle of arrows and an olive branch – symbols of strength and peace. The surrounding legend reads: “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – E PLURIBUS UNUM – TEN DOLLARS”, and the national motto “IN GOD WE TRUST” also appears.
