Israel - 1 Agora 1960 - ”Large Date Different Die” Variety - Extremely Rare, 1/5 pieces - PCGS AU 58 - An exceptionally rare coin that entered circulation by mistake. On this specimen, the Hebrew date ”תש”ך” (5720) at the bottom of the obverse is significantly larger than the officially approved version, and there are several reverse design differences compared to the standard ”Large 5720” variety. The most striking feature of this coin is that it is rotated approximately 45 degrees to the right, a detail that clearly distinguishes it from all other known examples. The mintage of this type is unknown, but it is estimated that only about 5 coins were ever struck. Since the 1960s, only 5 examples have been recorded in the numismatic community, and this coin is one of those exceptionally rare and important specimens.
