Palestine - Set of Five “White” Checks of the Anglo-Palestine Company - 1920s - All in Hebrew, from Different Branches Across the Country - A rare and complete set of five “white” design checks issued by the Anglo-Palestine Company Ltd. during the 1920s. Each check originates from a different branch — Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Haifa — representing the expansion and consolidation of the first Jewish bank in the Land of Israel during the British Mandate period. All feature the classic layout with a Star of David emblem, full Hebrew text, and in some cases original handstamps and early E.E.F. revenue stamps. This remarkable group illustrates the transformation of the Anglo-Palestine Company from a small financial institution into a nationwide banking network, which later evolved into Bank Leumi le-Israel. An exceptional and historically significant collection.
