Palestine - Four Checks of the Jewish Colonial Trust (J.C.T) - Including a Rare Check Issued to the Beit Vegan Society in Jaffa - A group of four historical checks issued by the Jewish Colonial Trust (Juedische Colonialbank Ltd.) – the first financial institution of the Zionist movement, which later evolved into the Anglo-Palestine Company and eventually Bank Leumi le-Israel. Dating from 1922 to 1933, these checks originate from different branches and designs, featuring original handstamps, cancellations, and British/Palestine revenue stamps. One particularly notable check is issued to the Beit Vegan Society in Jaffa, marking an early example of Jewish financial activity in pre-state Palestine. A remarkable and historically significant collection, reflecting the foundations of Jewish banking and settlement in the Land of Israel.
