Palestine - Group of Three Share Certificates of the Anglo-Palestine Bank Ltd. - 1940s–1950s - Including Large Shareholdings and Coupons - A fine group of three original share certificates issued by The Anglo-Palestine Bank Ltd., dating from the 1940s to 1950s, representing holdings of 8, 35, and 140 shares respectively. The certificates display stylistic variations of the bank’s late Mandate-era design, two retaining their original dividend coupons, and others bearing “CANCELLED” overprints and original director signatures. Each document bears the embossed or wax bank seal and records the bank’s capital of £1,000,000. A rare and historically important set from the final years of the institution before its transformation into Bank Leumi le-Israel.
