The obverse features the right-facing portrait of King Edward VII, designed by George William De Saulles, accompanied by the inscription: EDWARDVS VII D:G: BRITT: OMN: REX F:D: IND: IMP: (Edward VII, by the Grace of God, King of all the Britains, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India) The reverse depicts Saint George on horseback slaying the dragon, in the classic design by Benedetto Pistrucci. The inscriptions at the bottom read: 1910 (Year of issue) B.P. (Initials of the designer Benedetto Pistrucci)
