A set comprising three miniature gold replicas of German Democratic Republic banknotes in denominations of 5, 10 and 200 Mark. The replicas reproduce the designs of both sides of the original notes and are individually housed in rigid transparent holders. 5 Mark replica: Based on the 1975 banknote, featuring a portrait of Thomas Müntzer and the denomination “FÜNF MARK” on the front. The reverse depicts agricultural harvesting machinery. 10 Mark replica: Based on the 1971 banknote, featuring a portrait of Clara Zetkin and the denomination “ZEHN MARK” on the front. The reverse depicts a female engineer in a control room. 200 Mark replica: Based on the design of the 1985 banknote, featuring a family against a background of residential buildings and the denomination “ZWEIHUNDERT MARK” on the front. The reverse depicts a group of pupils leaving a school. The original 200 Mark notes were printed but never released into circulation and were not legal tender. Each replica is made of Gold 999 and weighs 1/100oz - approximately 0.311g.
