A lot comprising four miniature gold bars produced to commemorate the 30th anniversary of German reunification, officially completed on 3 October 1990. These are privately issued commemorative bars with no face value and are neither state-issued coins nor legal tender. Obverse: A large “30” appears over an image of the Brandenburg Gate and celebratory fireworks. The inscription “JAHRE DEUTSCHE EINHEIT” (Years of German Unity) appears below. Reverse: A stylized German eagle, the inscription “999 FINE GOLD” and the words “EINIGKEIT UND RECHT UND FREIHEIT FÜR DAS DEUTSCHE VATERLAND” (Unity, justice and freedom for the German fatherland). The weight “1/500 OZ” appears below. Each bar is made of Gold 999, weighs 1/500oz - approximately 0.0622g - and measures 18.2 × 13mm.
