A lot comprising four gold coins issued by the Republic of Chad as part of the “Bullion Coins of the World” series. The lot contains two 2020 coins dedicated to the Chinese Panda and two 2019 coins dedicated to the South African springbok featured on the Krugerrand. Obverse: The coat of arms of the Republic of Chad, the French inscription “RÉPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD, ” the year of issue and the denomination “3000 FRANCS CFA.” Reverse - Panda: A panda holding a bamboo branch against a bamboo background. The surrounding inscription reads “BULLION COINS OF THE WORLD, ” with “999 FINE GOLD” below. Two examples of this 2020 design are included. Reverse - Springbok: A South African springbok standing on the ground, inspired by the design associated with the Krugerrand. The surrounding inscription reads “BULLION COINS OF THE WORLD, ” with “999 FINE GOLD” and “1/500 OZ” below. Two examples of this 2019 design are included. Each coin is struck in Gold 999 and weighs 1/500oz - approximately 0.0622g.
