The coin has a face value of £2 and contains one troy ounce of pure silver. From 2013, this type of silver Britannia was struck in 999 fine silver. Obverse: The crowned right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The surrounding inscription reads “ELIZABETH II D·G·REG·F·D 2 POUNDS.” Reverse: Britannia standing in a helmet, holding a trident in one hand and a shield decorated with the Union Flag in the other.
