Chad - 5,000 Francs CFA 2020 - Climate Zones of the Earth - Set of 5 Gold 999 Coins and a Gold 999 Clover Bar (approx. 0.84g Pure Gold Total, 0.027 oz.) - Original Collector Album - A buyer’s premium of only 10% + VAT applies to this item. A set dedicated to the five climate zones of the Earth, comprising five 2020 gold coins issued by the Republic of Chad and a miniature lucky-clover gold bar. The pieces are arranged in a purpose-made collector album containing German-language information about the characteristics of each climate zone. Obverse: Each of the five coins bears the coat of arms of Chad, the French inscription “RÉPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD, ” the year 2020 and the denomination “5000 FRANCS CFA.” Reverse: Each coin represents a different climate zone and is surrounded by a distinct colored ring: Tropical Zone: A tropical animal against vegetation, with the inscription “TROPISCHE ZONE” and a red ring. Subtropical Zone: A tree and animals in an open landscape, with the inscription “SUBTROPISCHE ZONE” and an orange ring. Temperate Zone: A hare in an agricultural landscape, with the inscription “GEMÄSSIGTE ZONE” and a green ring. Subpolar Zone: A polar bear against an icy landscape, with the inscription “SUBPOLARE ZONE” and a turquoise ring. Polar Zone: A penguin in a frozen landscape, accompanied by the latitude marking 60°-90°, with the inscription “POLARE ZONE” and a purple ring. Each coin also bears the inscription “999 FINE GOLD.” Each is struck in Gold 999, weighs 1/200oz - approximately 0.1555g - and measures approximately 40mm in diameter. The five coins together contain approximately 0.7775g of gold, equal to 0.025oz. The set also includes a miniature gold bar decorated with a four-leaf clover and the inscription “FEINGOLD 999.” Its reverse features a repeated clover pattern. The bar is made of Gold 999 and weighs 1/500oz - approximately 0.0622g. The combined weight of the five coins and the bar is approximately 0.84g, with a total pure gold content of approximately 0.839g, or 0.027oz. The pieces are housed in capsules and rigid display holders within the original “Klimazonen der Erde” collector album.
