The coins feature coloured rings highlighting the subject represented on each piece. The collection contains five 5,000 CFA Franc coins, each struck in .999 fine gold with a weight of 1/200 oz and a diameter of 40 mm. Each coin contains approximately 0.1555g of pure gold. The accompanying certificates state a limited issue of 30,000 pieces for the large-format coins. The sixth coin, dedicated to the Subpolar Zone, has a denomination of 3,000 CFA Francs. It is struck in .999 fine gold, weighs 1/500 oz, approximately 0.0622g, and measures 16 mm in diameter. The designs included in the collection are: Planet Earth: A map of the Earth surrounded by a blue-purple ring, with the inscription PLANET ERDE. Atmosphere: A diagram of the atmospheric layers surrounding the Earth, with the inscription ATMOSPHÄRE. Continents: A globe depicting Europe, Africa and Asia, surrounded by a green ring, with the inscription KONTINENTE. Layers of the Earth: A sectional representation of the internal structure of the Earth, with the inscription ERDSCHICHTEN. Solar System: A diagram showing the planetary orbits around the Sun, surrounded by a red ring, with the inscription SONNENSYSTEM. Subpolar Zone: A small-format coin featuring a turquoise ring and the inscription SUBPOLARE ZONE. Obverse: The coins display the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad, comprising a shield supported by a lion and a goat, together with the inscriptions RÉPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD and 2020. The denomination 5,000 FRANCS CFA appears below, or 3,000 FRANCS CFA on the small-format coin. Reverse: Six different designs illustrating aspects of Planet Earth and the solar system, enhanced with coloured rings and the inscription 999 FINE GOLD. The collection contains approximately 0.84g of pure gold in total, equivalent to 0.027 oz. The coins are housed in rigid display holders and presented in their original album with German-language information and authenticity certificates. The album and holders show minor signs of storage and handling.
