The designs pay tribute to six internationally recognized motifs appearing on gold coins from different countries. The collection contains five coins with a denomination of 5,000 CFA Francs. Each is struck in .999 fine gold, weighs 1/200 oz - approximately 0.1555g of pure gold - and measures 40 mm in diameter. According to the accompanying certificate, the mintage of each large-format coin was limited to 30,000 pieces. The sixth coin, featuring the Springbok motif, has a denomination of 3,000 CFA Francs. It is struck in .999 fine gold, weighs 1/500 oz - approximately 0.0622g - and measures 18 mm in diameter. The designs included in the collection are: Maple Leaf: A maple leaf inspired by the celebrated Canadian gold coin motif. Australian Kangaroo: A kangaroo depicted against the moon and an Australian landscape. American Liberty: The figure of Liberty holding a torch and branch against radiating lines. Chinese Panda: A panda holding bamboo branches. Libertad: Mexico’s winged Angel of Independence against a mountainous landscape. Springbok: The springbok antelope associated with South African coinage. Obverse: The coat of arms of the Republic of Chad, comprising a shield supported by a lion and a goat, together with the inscriptions RÉPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD 2020 and UNITÉ TRAVAIL PROGRÈS (“Unity, Work, Progress”). The denomination 5,000 FRANCS CFA appears below, or 3,000 FRANCS CFA on the Springbok coin. Reverse: One of the six featured designs, together with the inscriptions BULLION COINS OF THE WORLD and 999 FINE GOLD. The collection contains 0.027 oz of pure gold in total, approximately 0.84g. The coins are housed in rigid display holders and presented in a dedicated album containing information and certificates of authenticity. The album, certificates and holders show signs of storage and handling.
