A set of 12 miniature gold bars from the 30 Jahre Deutsche Einheit - 999 Feingoldbarren Edition - “30 Years of German Unity - .999 Fine Gold Bar Edition.” The set is presented in its original album, with certificate of authenticity and technical data. The series commemorates the historical process that led to German reunification, from the period following the fall of the Berlin Wall to the official completion of reunification on 3 October 1990. The bars depict key themes from the period, including Alexanderplatz, the fall of the Wall and the Trabant, welcome money, Helmut Kohl, freedom of travel, the Volkskammer election, monetary union, Germany’s football World Cup victory, the Unification Treaty, the Two Plus Four Agreement, Berlin, and a general symbol of German unity. Each bar is made of .999 fine gold, weighing 1/500 oz, and measuring 18.2x13 mm. The complete set of 12 bars has a total weight of 12/500 oz, equal to approx. 0.024 oz of gold, approx. 0.746g of .999 gold, and approx. 0.745g net pure gold.
