Her reign is associated with the establishment of the English Church, the expansion of English trade and culture, and the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588. Reverse: A portrait of Queen Elizabeth I in period dress and a royal ruff. The royal arms appear at the left and a Tudor rose at the right.
