Obverse: A portrait of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The surrounding inscriptions include the Queen’s name, the denomination 5 POUNDS and the date 2008. Reverse: A profile portrait of Prince Charles, also designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. The surrounding inscriptions read THE PRINCE OF WALES, the dates 1948 and 2008, and the Prince of Wales’s motto ICH DIEN.
